GRANGEVILLE, Idaho (AP) — U.S. Forest Service officials in central Idaho say a firefighter battling the Nut Hill Fire in the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests had to be flown out by helicopter after sustaining an injury. Officials say the woman was injured about 10 p.m. Friday, and medical personnel determined Life Flight should be sent.

The woman was flown to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston where she was treated and released Saturday morning. Officials did not release the firefighter's name or the extent of her injuries.
