First Pit Bull Taken from Idaho Murder Scene Adopted

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — The first rescued pit bull still in Boise of more than 60 taken from the scene of an eastern Idaho triple homicide that included a dog fighting operation has been adopted.

The Idaho Statesman reports in a story published yesterday that Kyle and Janet Moore on May 5 adopted a 2-year-old dark tan female with white markings named Tess. The Moores say they weren't sure they wanted another dog after their pit bull Mia died six months ago. But after hearing about the 60 rescued pit bulls they decided to meet some of the dogs at the Idaho Humane Society.

Kyle Moore says they chose Tess because of her friendly nature and that Tess made a connection with them. Of the rescued dogs, 12 have been euthanized and another dozen have been flown to other rescue organizations.
