The Idaho department of fish and game will soon have a new director. The fish and game commission has announced 59 year old Virgil Moore will take over the reigns at the agency. Moore is the current deputy director for field operations at Fish and Game and will replace Director Cal Groen, who is retiring. Moore served as director of the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife in 2006 before returning to Idaho as deputy director. He was chosen over five other finalists. According to  a press release Moore has 34 years of experience in wildlife management.
