l Weather Service is urging residents who live in flood-prone areas of eastern Idaho to take precautions.  With the exception of the Pocatello area, the flood watch covers almost the entire region of northern Bannock County, the Blackfoot, Pingree and Aberdeen areas of Bingham County, American Falls and the rest of northern Power County.  It also includes the Fort Hall area.  The rest of the region from the Utah line to the Montana border and from Shoshone, Burley and Arco to the Wyoming line will likely experience flooding in low-lying areas due to the rain causing snowmelt and overflowing waterways.  The flooding is expected to be most severe in Fremont County where water could sweep into higher elevations.  The weather service reports that flooding is possible through Saturday in eastern Idaho even in areas not covered by the watch.  The biggest threat is through Friday night.  Over the weekend the rain could turn to snow.  The weather service has issued a hazardous weather advisory  for all of eastern Idaho through Wednesday because of the strong possibility of dangerous conditions due to the rain, snow and flooding.
