BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Former Idaho Department of Administration Director Teresa Luna has taken a new position as an emergency planner with the state's Bureau of Homeland Security. The agency announced the hire Tuesday. Agency Director Brad Richy says Luna has the needed expertise of state agency coordination and understanding of state, county and local government in Idaho.

Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter announced Luna's resignation at the Department of Administration last month shortly after a district judge ruled her department's $60 million public school broadband contract was illegal and violated the state's procurement laws. The broadband program is now housed in the Idaho Department of Education.
