Former Lincoln County Commissioner Sentenced fo Petit Theft

Lincoln County, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) Former Lincoln County Commissioner Jay Loesche was sentenced today on theft charges.

According to court records, Loesche will escape jail time and instead serve two years probation.A plea deal was made to amend the charges from grand theft to petit theft.

This stems from an investigation that revealed he took just over $1,000 from the City of Shoshone and the Rural Fire Department. A Lincoln County judge sentenced him to 180 days in jail, then suspended that sentence.
