We enjoy our liquor as much as anybody, but when booze causes you to spontaneously pee yourself, it's probably time to cut back. Just ask former Washington Redskins defensive back Fred Smoot. He knows this better than anybody.

On Dec. 30, cops in Washington D.C. pulled Smoot over in an Audi A7 because his car had no registration tags. At that point, police noticed that Smoot's eyes were "red and watery," so they administered a field sobriety test which he quickly failed. As a result, he was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or a drug and operating while impaired.

But things were about to get much worse for Smoot. After he was taken to Capital Police headquarters for processing, he unknowingly lost control of his bladder and created a yellow puddle on the station's floor.

"[A police officer] witnessed the urine running down his pant leg and onto the floor," wrote officer Seth Carll in an affidavit. [Smoot] did not express that he had to use the restroom.”

Eventually, Smoot was released on his own recognizance after being formally charged by the D.C. attorney general. Amazingly, the former NFL star pleaded not guilty on Jan. 17. His innocence could be a hard sell, though. Pee, as we all know, doesn't lie.
