Hailey, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - The Friedman Memorial Airport is getting ready to reopen. The airport has been closed for 24 days to complete a runway safety project.

The project included significant work to the taxi way and a 16,000 square foot addition to the terminal. Up to 150 people have been working on the terminal to get it ready in time. "We're configuring this airport will meet the needs of this community for years into the future, but at the same time, we're recognizing that the ultimate solution is probably a replacement airport somewhere, someday," said Rick Baird, Friedman Memorial Airport Manager.

Knife River, Conrad Brothers, Barry Hayes Construction, T–O Engineers, and Mead and Hunt Architects all worked together on the project to make it happen.
