Hansen, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Last month, Hansen School District asked voters to approve a two year, $190,000 levy. Idaho’s First News Reports the measure didn't pass, so Hansen educators are putting the levy back on the ballot again next month. That money will be used to continue paying salaries and benefits for school district staff members.

Susan Scherz, Superindendent of Hansen Schools, says they may have not informed the public as good as they should have the first time around. When Idaho had economic difficulties a few years ago, the state cut back the $300 thousand amount that Hansen was getting. These levies have enabled the school district to stay up and running the last two years. Voting for this levy will take place May 21st. via www.kmvt.com
