Hazelton Car Driven by Teen Plunges Into Canal

Hazelton, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) – Only minor injuries are being reported from an accident that happened near Hazelton this Tuesday Afternoon. Jerome County fire and a Sheriff Deputy responded to the scene. The call for help came in around 2:07 pm. Authorities responded to 900 South just off Highway 25. Chad Pierce, 18 of Hazelton was the only person in the vehicle when it crashed into the canal. The Mercury Cougar struck the guard rail coming to rest on its top in the north side canal near a bridge support. It appears that inattentive driving is the cause of the accident.
