BLACKFOOT, Idaho (AP) — A lawsuit against the Blackfoot School District brought by three former high school athletes over the handling of hazing allegations has been set for trial in 2014. The Idaho State Journal reports that the lawsuit brought by Logan Chidester, Nathan Walker and Tyson Katseanes is set for a jury trial on March 18.

The men sued the school district, Bingham County and the city of Blackfoot last year alleging that the government entities maliciously prosecuted them and mishandled allegations of hazing incidents during the 2009-2010 boys' basketball season.

The athletes were originally charged with felonies in connection with the hazing report but those charges were later dismissed. Misdemeanor counts were also filed against Chidester but those were dismissed after he successfully completed probation.
