A few weeks ago, HBO gave us a first look at Damon Lindelof's rapture drama 'The Leftovers,' though said TV spot proved admittedly light on footage. Now, a second look at 'The Leftovers' emerged with last night's 'Game of Thrones' spectacle, taking a much darker dive into the events of a rapture-like occurrence that removed a portion of the world's population.

Where the first TV spot teased how significant the population decline was, the latest look at 'The Leftovers' focuses primarily on Justin Theroux's character, jogging through an eerily empty town. The moving imagery quickly turns dark, however, as we see a number of "Guilty Remnants" committing suicide or fighting one another, as a voice overhead claims "to depart is different than what anyone supposed, and luckier."

For those unfamiliar, HBO’s ‘The Leftovers’ follows those left behind on Earth after a rapture of sorts, those not chosen to be taken up to Heaven. Adapted from Tom Perrotta’s 2009 novel of the same name, the show’s pilot was directed by Peter Berg (‘Lone Survivor‘), and stars Liv Tyler, Christopher Eccleston, Carrie Coon, Ann Dowd, Amanda Warren, Chris Zylka, Margaret Qualley, Michael Gaston, Max Carver, Charlie Carver, Annie Q, Paterson Joseph, Brad Leland, ‘Private Practice‘ vet Amy Brenneman and ‘Fringe‘ star Emily Meade.

‘The Leftovers’ will premiere June 15 at 10:00 p.m., immediately after the ‘Game of Thrones’ season 4 finale. How does the first real trailer grab you? Check it out above, and give us your thoughts in the comments!
