Despite wind and brisk temperatures Idahoans across the state turned out to remember the gem state's fallen heroes. The city of Hailey honored its nearly 400 veterans with a ceremony featuring a color guard, rifle detail and flag raisers from Mountain Home Air Force Base. The keynote speaker, Col. James McClellan, spoke of hope for the safe return of Spec. Bowe Bergdahl, one of Hailey's own who is still missing in Afghanistan. A similar scene took place in Twin Falls, Jerome, and other towns around the state yesterday.  Idaho's veterans  also gathered at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery in Boise to remember their fallen comrades. That ceremony drew hundreds. According to the Department of Veteran Affairs in Washington D.C., more than 130,000 veterans live in Idaho.
