Allies Linked for the Prevention of HIV and AIDS, (a.l.p.h.a) has moved to  a new office in Twin Falls.  For the past eight years a.l.p.h.a  has been linking with others in Southern Idaho with testing and education to prevent the transmission of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections, while also providing for those already affected.  With the opening of their office in Twin Falls last year, that mission expanded to the Magic Valley area.

a.l.p.h.a. Founder and Director Duane Quintana says over the past year, the group has worked to identity areas of need in the Magic Valley when it comes to HIV testing, education, and support services, “Besides moving into a new location that will offer more room as well as better privacy for our clients, as part of our mission, we have recently expanded our services to include support for those affected by HIV and AIDS.

The group concentrates on offering free rapid HIV testing, HIV and STI education, and support for those affected and infected by HIV and AIDS.

To celebrate their expansion and new location the group will be holding an open house tomorrow morning, Wednesday 5/25 starting at 10:00 AM at their new office located at 213 3rd Ave East.  The event is free and open to the public. Call 734-3842 for more information.
