This map shows how big Idaho would be if all the state borders were redrawn so that each state had the same population.

This kind of stuff tends to be a point of some interest during an election year. Y'know...The whole electoral college debate, and all.

In any case, it's interesting to see where the population centers are and how large Idaho would need to be in order for it to hold 5.6 million people. Look how big Idaho is compared to southern Florida, and New York has to be split up into several states.
