An Overturned semi carrying a load of cherries forced the shut down of a section I-84 yesterday morning. The east bound lane of I-84 between Minidoka and Jerome counties reopened just before noon yesterday, after the semi tilted onto it’s side. The accident happened at around 6:50 in the morning when the driver fell asleep. Crews spent the morning cleaning up the accident and reopened the stretch of highway between mile post 200 and 201 just before noon. Traffic was rerouted through Paul during the clean up. Idaho State police say cleaning up the cherries took a while.  The driver of the truck, 39 year old William Hoskins of Phoenix, AZ. was treated for minor injuries.  Another driver, asleep in the cab, was not hurt.
