POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) — The Pocatello City Council in southeast Idaho has postponed discussion of a resolution dedicating a portion of a local cemetery for purchase by members of the Islamic faith.

The Idaho State Journal reports the city council at the beginning of Thursday's meeting removed the item from the agenda.

Pocatello physicians Fahim and Naeem Rahim are seeking to secure part of Restlawn Memorial Gardens for family members and other members of the Islamic faith. It's unclear when the council might consider the resolution.
