Idaho Fire Burns Close to Raceway and Homes

 BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Authorities say a fast-moving brush fire is threatening structures and forcing some people to evacuate their homes near Highway 16 and Firebird Raceway in Boise.

The Ada County Sheriff's Office says homes are being evacuated as a precaution on Chaparral Road, Spangler Place, Edgeview Road and Broadview Road. The Eagle Fire Department says about 30 structures are threatened.

It didn't elaborate. KBOI-TV reports winds are blowing 10 to 30 mph in the area. Highway 16 has been closed at Beacon Light Road.
