Idaho Health Exchange Release Sign Up Numbers

BOISE, Idaho (KTVB) -- More than 76,000 Idahoans signed up for health insurance through Your Health Idaho during the state’s first open enrollment period.

The latest numbers were released Monday by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Open enrollment for Your Health Idaho wrapped up at the end of March. Your Health Idaho Executive Director Amy Dowd says they are pleased with the number of enrollees.

“In comparison to Congressional Budget Office figures of 40,000 Idahoans, we have significantly exceeded those estimates, and it is very, very exciting and encouraging that we are on the right path,” said Dowd.

Dowd did not know how these numbers compared to other state's enrollment. But before this latest update, Idaho ranked second in the country for per capita enrollment..
