TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)-  A program designed to help struggling families heat their homes will end sooner than it usually does in Idaho.

Executive Director Ken Robinette, with the South Central Community Action Partnership says Idaho's allowcation of federal and state funding will end February 20th. Robinette says usually the home heating program lasts until the end of March. All who have not applied for help needs to do so before the February deadline. Robinette says there is a possibility the program could get additional state funds to extend the program for a little while longer. But, he says he is not sure that will happen.

The program provides a one time payment to the home heating vendor to help supplement the cost. Funding is available to families whose income is less than 150% of the Federal Poverty Level. For example: a household of four, the income limit is $2,981 per month. To set up an appointment to see if you qualify call SCCAP 736-0676.
