I look at vacation days like little gifts from the Bossman. If I don't use them I look ungrateful...so I use them all. I am in the minority on this in Idaho though.

Project Time Off released some stats on how much vacation time goes unused in each state and Idaho is literally the worst. 78 percent of Idaho's workers left vacation days unused in 2016. I left 0 vacation days unused last year. They say that the reason so many people don't use their days is actually a fear of the repercussions of not being at work or from fear of appearing unnecessary and replaceable.

How crazy is that? We are given the gift of time off yet we are so afraid of seeming lazy or replaceable for using those days that we just let them go to waste.
