BLACKFOOT, Idaho (AP) — A southwest Idaho man who police say injured his 3-month-old daughter has been charged with felony aggravated battery and felony injury to a child. The Idaho State Journal reports in a story on Saturday that 33-year-old Fernando Lee Naranjo of Blackfoot is being held in Weber County, Utah, pending extradition.

Police say that on Jan. 18 Naranjo dropped his daughter off at a residence in Blackfoot just after 1 p.m. A person then called police to report that the infant's eyes were rolling back in her head, she was yellow in the face, and she had bruises on her body. The girl remains in serious condition at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City.
