Idaho Man Released After Shooting Wife
BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A southwestern Idaho man is charged with aggravated battery after his wife suffered a gunshot wound to the chest during a weekend argument. The Idaho Statesman reports 29-year-old Matthew R. Lindstrom of Mountain Home was arraigned Monday.
The Elmore County prosecutor's office says Lindstrom is free on a $50,000 bond and was ordered not to have any contact with his wife. Charging documents say the couple was arguing early Sunday when a .45-caliber gun discharged and the woman was struck in the chest.
She was listed in stable condition in a Boise hospital on Tuesday. The prosecutor declined to say whether the shooting was believed to be intentional. Lindstrom's next court date is set for Friday.
