OAKDALE, Calif. (KTVB) -- Boise skydiver and stuntman Scott Palmer went head to head with dozens of athletes from around the world over the weekend in Redbull's Ace Wingsuit Race in California.

Palmer, an Idahoan, placed fourth in the extreme aerial competition.

In the end, it was American Andy Farrington who took the top spot.

The event features competitors jumping four at a time from a helicopter about 8,000 feet above sea level.

They swoop head-to-head through a twisting course of five gates as they race for the finish. On the way down, wingsuited competitors even to a 180-degree turn around one of the markers.
