BOISE, Idaho (AP) — After 30 years as the director of the Idaho Commission of Pardons and Parole, Olivia Craven is well acquainted with making the kinds of decisions that always leave someone unhappy.

Craven says she’s always loved her job, but when she retires this week she’s looking forward to just watching TV and being bored for a while. Former Sen. Denton Darrington says she was never soft on crime but always wanted to do the right thing for those who came in front of the parole board.

Sen. Patti Anne Lodge lauds Craven’s work ethic. Gov. C.L. “Butch” Otter has named Sandy Jones the new executive director of the Pardons and Parole Commission.
