Idaho Pianist to Perform at Herrett Forum

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) A Boise State University music professor will perform at the Herrett Forum on December 14 at the College of Southern Idaho. Dr. Del Parkinson will also narrate a program during the 7:30 p.m. Wednesday performance.

Dr. Parkinson has recorded seven albums and is part of the international roster of Steinway Piano artists. The performance at CSI, "Once Upon a Time," will feature music by Beethoven, Chopin, Debussy, Bernstein, and Gershwin. Parkinson adds a little to his performance by narrating while playing and describing a story behind each piece.

No tickets are required for this free public lecture. Doors open at 7 p.m. The Herrett Center for Arts and Science is located on the north side of the College of Southern Idaho campus at the North College Road entrance.
