SANDPOINT, Idaho (AP) — Police in Idaho say they've arrested a man wanted for a 17-year-old double homicide in California. The Bonner County Daily Bee reports (http://bit.ly/11OGsQ0 ) 40-year-old Christian Leonard Bunty faces two counts of murder and other charges in the killings of Mark Wayne Adamson and Joseph Gerald Riley.

Barstow detectives believe the two victims thought they were going to buy an ingredient for methamphetamine but instead were robbed, killed and buried in the desert. Bunty's alleged accomplice, 41-year-old James Linzy Franklin, already is serving a life sentence without parole for an unrelated homicide in Big Bear.

Bunty and Franklin are also suspected of posing as FBI agents to rob drug dealers at gunpoint in South Los Angeles. Bunty's lawyer says his client will fight extradition.
