Idaho Prison Guard Charged After Sex with Inmate

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A former Idaho Department of Correction prison guard has been charged with having sex with an inmate at a maximum security prison south of Boise. Forty-three-year-old Pamela Lynn Thomson was arrested Thursday after prosecutors charged her with two counts of felony sexual contact with a prisoner. Idaho Department of Correction spokesman Jeff Ray said in a prepared statement that Thompson was hired on March 25 and was fired from the department on Sept. 6 after an investigation by the department's professional standards team. Thompson was scheduled to appear in court Friday afternoon. She is currently being held on $250,000 bond.
