e snowpack around southern Idaho this year is just a little behind what it was last year but Idaho’s water experts say we are still in good shape.  Ron Abramovich with the Natural Resources Conservation Service says with some of the snowfall arriving a little late this year, it could be a sign that our spring will be cooler.  Like last year a cooler spring will delay runoff which is better for keeping the state’s reservoirs filled.  The latest report shows the snowfall for the Upper Snake River Basin is at 95 percent of average.  The Big Wood Basin is at 89 percent and the Little Wood Basin is currently at 91 percent of average.  The Salmon Falls Basin south of the High Line Canal is at 95 percent of average for this time of year.
