Idaho Suspect in Stabbing Killed in Car Crash
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — An Idaho Falls man suspected in a weekend stabbing has died in a car crash on U.S. Highway 26 near Ririe.
The Idaho State Police says 23-year-old Tay W. Misseldine was eastbound at about 3 a.m. Monday when he drifted off the road and overcorrected before hitting a sign and a fence and rolling down an embankment.
The ISP says Misseldine was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene. As troopers investigated the crash, they learned Misseldine was the suspect in a stabbing in Idaho Falls on Sunday evening.
He had led police and Bonneville County deputies on a short pursuit. Officers said they ended the chase because they knew who was driving. No information about the stabbing victim was immediately released.
