Idaho State Police are hoping to help warm the hearts of two brother officers.

Holtry’s wounds are going to require a very long recovery.

Boise Police Corporals Kevin Holtry and Chris Davis were wounded in a shootout with a dangerous criminal late last week.  Holtry’s wounds are going to require a very long recovery.  The criminal was killed and a police dog was also wounded.

Boise’s Police Chief explains it would greatly encourage his wounded men if they received cards and greetings from schoolchildren and the public.  Troopers are working to make delivery of cards to the officers and their families even easier.  Cards are being collected by troopers and you can drop them off at any State Police barracks.  In the Magic Valley this would be District 4 in Jerome.  The address is 218 West Yakima Avenue (it’s about a block from McDonald’s).
