Idaho Trucker Enters Not Guilty Plea in Crash that Killed One
MINOT, N.D. (AP) — An Idaho truck driver involved in a fatal crash in North Dakota has pleaded not guilty to manslaughter. Fifty-eight-year-old Clark Christensen, of Shelley, Idaho, is accused in the May 16 death of 21-year-old Megan Shoal, a Minot State University student from Plentywood, Mont.
Authorities allege Christensen was driving a semitrailer that plowed into several vehicles stopped at a red light just west of Minot because his brakes were not properly maintained.
Eight vehicles were damaged or destroyed. Christensen could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted of the felony.
