The Idaho 2011 Job Vacancy Survey is based on a survey of about 3,100 of Idaho's 54,000 businesses done between May and mid-June. The report found there were about 1.7 vacant jobs for every 100 filled jobs in Idaho. That compares to last year's rate of 1.8 percent. Nearly one in three of the businesses surveyed said they had trouble finding applicants with the education and skills they needed, and one in seven said the work ethic of people they hired was unacceptable. Two out of every three openings listed were full time, and the median wage for the openings was $10 an hour - compared to $9.30 in 2010.
