Idaho’s Low Tax Burden (Opinion)

I guess we can’t complain about Idaho taxes.

Or not complain as much as our neighbors might bellyache. Idaho’s tax burden is the 48^th lowest in the country. For comparison, Washington State is 18^th and even our grocery tax appears less burdensome when you consider there are many discount grocery options.

The low rate doesn’t make liberals happy. From what I’m reading online many on the left believe we should be paying much more to serve whatever special interest with which they’re involved.

Or we could look at the low tax rate as what makes Idaho an attractive place for businesses and workers. Attracting new business would make most people very happy. It could keep more of your children here versus having them relocate thousands of miles away.
