Idaho’s Underwater Ghost Town In American Falls

Did you know that underneath the American Falls Reservoir lies an underwater ghost town?

The Only In Idaho website has a great history of old American Falls. Back in 1925 the whole town was moved to make way for the reservoir and the only thing that remained were the foundations of a few buildings and one tall grain elevator. Due to low water levels you can now see the remnants of that old town and see the footprint of what used to be the homes of hundreds of Idahoans.
