Idaho may not be the best place to get a classroom education.  WalletHub has issued a list of the best and worst schools in each state and the District-of-Columbia.  While Utah made the top 20, things aren’t so stellar north of the state line.  Idaho finished below the middle at 33rd according to the ranking process.

Utah, by the way, once had a reputation of stingy spending on public schools but top flight students.  When I shared the long ago results with a state legislator in New York she replied, “They have a homogeneous population”.

Mostly northern states dominate the high end of the list and most of those are in the northeast, although.  As in previous discussions, geography doesn’t explain the full story.  You can see the list here at this link.  Oregon, with a similar culture to some of the states in the northeast doesn’t fare well.  The same for California!
