On June 18, 2015, at 7:50 am, Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash northbound on US93 at mile marker 71, south of Shoshone.
Royce D. Main, 23, of Las Cruces, NM, was traveling northbound on US93 in a 2005 Toyota Tacoma. Ronald K. Schoolcraft, 71, of Richfield was traveling southbound on US93 in a 2008 Freightliner tractor pulling an empty semi trailer.  
Main attempted to pass another vehicle and struck Schoolcraft's semi truck head on. Upon impact the fuel tank from the semi truck ruptured, burst into flames, and became dislodged to the east side of the roadway. The semi truck and trailer traveled off the west side of the roadway. A brush fire ignited on both sides of US93.  

Main was transported by Air St. Lukes to Portneuf Regional Medical Center in Pocatello. Life Flight Network transported Schoolcraft to the University of Utah Burn Center. Main was wearing his seatbelt. It is unknown if Schoolcraft was wearing his seatbelt.

US93 was blocked in both directions for four hours while crews worked to remove the wreckage.
