Can you fight the air? The answer, according to the new 'Into the Storm' trailer, is a resounding no ... unless, of course, you're one of the 'Jersey Shore' boys fist-pumping the sky in the clubs. This new look at the natural disaster flick goes full-on 'Twister' in following around storm chasers tracking a series of tornadoes wreaking havoc on a small town. Although, unlike 'Twister,' there's a lot more found footage and fire cyclones.

Although the 'Into the Storm' trailer kicks off with a nod to Beyonce's "Ring the Alarm" (or, maybe it's just a plain emergency alarm) and a graduation ceremony gone horribly wrong, it eventually becomes much more intense and slightly ridiculous. Perhaps it's because star Sarah Wayne Callies' role in 'The Walking Dead' is still fresh on our minds, but the ensuing storm makes tornadoes seem like the new zombie threat, whirling and smashing on their own before teaming up into a super-clone to attack as a horde.

From the official 'Into the Storm' synopsis:

In the span of a single day, the town of Silverton is ravaged by an unprecedented onslaught of tornadoes. The entire town is at the mercy of the erratic and deadly cyclones, even as storm trackers predict the worst is yet to come. Most people seek shelter, while others run towards the vortex, testing how far a storm chaser will go for that once-in-a-lifetime shot.  Told through the eyes and lenses of professional storm chasers, thrill-seeking amateurs, and courageous townspeople, ‘Into the Storm’ throws you directly into the eye of the storm to experience Mother Nature at her most extreme.

'Into the Storm' hits theaters August 8, featuring a cast that includes Richard Armitage, Matt Walsh, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Arlen Escarpeta, Max Deacon, Nathan Kress, Jeremy Sumpter, Kyle Davis and Jon Reep. It's too bad Warner Bros. already blew their wad on 'The Dark Knight Rises,' because this would've been the best tagline:
