Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury showing up at the end of a Marvel movie to recruit an Avenger happened so often it became an all too familiar joke. But now that 'The Avengers' are assembled, how will the next set of Marvel films lead into future sagas? If rumors are true, Marvel is planning to use Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark in the Fury role at the end of 'Iron Man 3.'

This is a spoiler for those sensitive to such things, but Latino Review confirms what we first reported last week when we saw the deep space suit toy. And that is that Stark will join up with the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' at the end of 'Iron Man 3.' And, as LR notes, this is also being set up in the most recent 'Guardians' comic book.

Downey Jr. winked his way around this spoiler in an interview with EW:

“Everywhere you look now in every Marvel movie there are opportunities where certain new pals of his (Tony’s) could be useful. So they’re in the atmosphere, so to speak, but I wouldn’t expect to see them on the ground in this one.”

Marvel is incredibly smart when it comes to stuff like this, and as Iron Man is the biggest draw of their upcoming films, and 'Galaxy' is easily their biggest question mark, this makes all the sense in the world. But we'll know for sure when 'Iron Man 3' hits theaters May 3.
