Japanese Language Classes Now Offered at Burley High

BURLEY, Id ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) Students at Burley High School now have a new option to study a foreign language.

This year a new teacher started offering a Japanese class as an elective. It was unclear how much interest there was for Japanese, however the classes filled up quick. Language teacher Mark Cook says he is impressed how quickly his students have caught on to the Japanese language.

He even has some students writing narratives using Japanese characters. Burley High School would like to offer duel credit Japanese classes in the future.
