JEROME, Idaho (AP) — A Jerome bar owner was charged with trafficking marijuana after confidential informants and undercover officers made three marijuana purchases. Douglas W. Peters was arrested on Oct. 15 and charged with one count of trafficking 1 to 5 pounds of marijuana and one count of trafficking 5 to 25 pounds of marijuana.

Court documents obtained by The Times-News (http://bit.ly/18GnTBy ) indicate confidential informants and officers bought increasingly larger amounts of marijuana from Peters, starting with a 1 ounce purchase on July 1 and ending with a 5.35 pound purchase for $14,500 on Oct. 15. Peters, who owns the Dog House bar, has posted a $75,000 bond. He has not entered a plea. A preliminary hearing is set for Friday.
