TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)- The Jerome County Democrats are hosting a series of citizenship and civics classes for people wanting to become citizens.

The classes will be offered to legal residents wanting to prepare for the citizenship test. The Jerome Democratic Party is sponsoring the classes but says it will be non-partisan material according to Rudy Gulick, a member of the party. The classes will prepare students in three weeks for the 100 questions on the test.

Gulick says the Democrats decided to hold the classes in response to Republicans only complaining about the situation and not trying to come up with solutions. Gulick says there is a need for migrant workers who are hard working people that spend money in the community.

The first class will take place, Thursday, April 28th at 7:00 p.m. It will be held at La Campesina Restaurant, located at 1323 S. Lincoln in Jerome. Material will be presented both in English and Spanish.
