KETCHUM, Idaho (KLIX) – A Jerome man is behind bars in the Wood River Valley after officers arrested him Friday night in Ketchum. Woody John Roberts, 29, was arrested and charged with felony DUI.

According to the Ketchum Police Department, a deputy from the Ketchum Police Division of the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office stopped Roberts for traveling 61 mph in a 35 mph speed zone on North Main Street in Ketchum.

Roberts showed signs of intoxication and was asked to perform Standard Field Sobriety tests. Upon failing the tests, Roberts was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

During booking, it was discovered that Roberts had been convicted of three previous DUIs dating back to 2007. Roberts refused to submit a breath test and a warrant was issued to draw blood for a blood alcohol test. Blood was drawn without incident at St. Luke’s Wood River Medical Center.

The blood samples were sent to the Idaho State Police Laboratory for analysis. Roberts was arraigned before the Blaine County Magistrate Court today, where a bond of $5,000 was set.
