KETCHUM, Idaho (KLIX) – Several local and state law enforcement agencies are partnering to host free training for alcohol beverage sellers and servers.

Two training days are scheduled for November. The first will take place at 1 p.m. Nov. 8 in the Minnie Moore Room at the Community Campus in Hailey; the second is scheduled for 10 a.m. Nov. 9 at the Ketchum Community Library.

Partnering agencies include the Ketchum Police Department, Blaine County Sheriff’s Office, Idaho State Police Alcohol Beverage Control, and The Drug Coalition. Topics to be covered at the training include:

  • Current Idaho laws
  • Penalties and sanctions
  • On-and-off premises service
  • Prevention of over-service
  • Alcohol and minors
  • Identifying false identification

Training is for all licensees and employees of bars, grocery and convenience stores, restaurants, wine shops, and state liquor stores. Space is limited. If you’d like to attend, contact the Ketchum Police Department at kpd@ketchumpolice.org or 208-726-7819.
