Lindsay Lohan Now a Suspect in Yet Another Burglary

Another day, another jewelry heist, another nail in the coffin of what was once Lindsay Lohan’s promising career.

Last week, LiLo was partying at the home of her wealthy friend Sam Magid, and while she was there, about $100,000 worth of jewelry, watches and designer sunglasses went missing.

Coincidence?

If Lohan wasn’t already on probation for stealing a necklace from a California jewelry store, maybe. But since cops aren’t big believers in happenstance, they’ve named the actress and her assistant Gavin Doyle as formal suspects in the new case.

Magid reportedly told police that two friends of Lindsay’s say she tried to pass the stolen items to them for safe-keeping, but they returned them to Magid and tattled on her. But she says those “friends” are actually the thieves and are trying to frame her for the deed.

Magid went on to say that LiLo herself contacted him later, saying she’d “hidden some of the other items around the house because she was afraid they would be stolen by burglars.” She also apparently told Magid she was taking sleeping pills at the time and is thus “hazy” about what actually went down, adding, “I’m sorry. Please pray for me.”

Despite all this, Sam later recanted the whole tale and now says nothing was stolen. But because cops have other witnesses who named Lindsay and Gavin as sticky-fingered party guests, the case remains open.

If she’s busted for this, it’ll be a violation of her probation — and she’ll likely end up back in the clink (again).
