Back in October Twin Falls resident Scott Andrus began a quest to find out if liquor signs displayed in the local state liquor stores violated state law.  Andrus said he saw the signs as hypocrisy on the part of the state…advertising liquor in an attempt to increase consumption of temperate consumers when state code clearly states that “the first concern of all good government is the virtue and sobriety of the people, and the purity of the home.  After taking his question to the City Council, the council decided to ask the Idaho Attorney General for an opinion.  In essence, the opinion is that the practice of state liquor stores displaying liquor signs does not appear to violate state law.  Andrus said his fight was not against those who consume alcohol but rather the hypocrisy by the state.
