BOISE, Idaho (KTVB) — A big shot in the arm for schools around Idaho. Fifteen schools will share $3 million in technology grants.

Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Luna announced the recipients of the Idaho technology pilot program at a press conference Monday morning. The money appropriated by the Idaho Legislature will go toward funding innovative technologies in the schools. If those innovations prove successful, they might be duplicated in schools across the state. Luna says it’s up to the state to figure out how to get more technology in every classroom.

Several of the 15 schools that received the technology grants are in southern Idaho. They include: Bickel Elementary School in Twin Falls, Cascade Junior-Senior High School, Fruitland Elementary School, Idaho Arts Charter School in Nampa, Meridian Technical Charter High School, South Middle School in Nampa and Vallivue Middle School.
