Several school districts in the Magic Valley will be asking voters for more property tax money in March to help keep the schools in operation.  On election day, March 13th, the Kimberly School District will ask voters for a two year, $300,000 dollar annual supplemental levy.

The Murtaugh District will be asking for $150,000 dollars per year, over two years.  Jerome School District plans a one-year $650,000 levy and Cassia County is planning a two year, $681,000 annual levy.  The Hansen School District may ask voters for $190,000 for one year and Minidoka County is in line for a two year,  $1.2-million dollar annual supplemental levy.  Registration deadline to vote in the elections is February 17th.  You can also register on election day at the polling places by showing a photo ID.
