We should see less smoke today. A brush fire that broke out Sunday evening burned about 10,000 acres, including five acres near Mountain Home Air Force Base. Officials believe the fire was human caused. It was contained last evening. The lightning caused Morrow Fire charred about 1,200 acres four miles northwest of Glenns Ferry. It too was expected to be contained last night.  Meanwhile BLM Fire Information Officer Mallory Eils says the Blair Fire, burning northwest of Glenns Ferry, remains a high priority for firefighters. The wildfire is burning grass and brush and in rocky terrain and canyons.  It has blackened around 38,000 acres so far. The Big Hill Fire that blackened around 67,000 acres between Highway 51 and the Bruneau River Canyon has also been contained. The Benny fire burned 126 acres of rangeland about 12 miles east of Mountain Home before its flames were stopped. BLM says that fire is out. Finally, Dave Olson, Fire Information Officer with the Boise National Forest, says a small forest fire broke yesterday afternoon in a heavily forested area near Yellow Pine. At last word, the fire had burned just a half acre.
