The Winter Weather Advisory for snow has been extended in the Magic Valley through Friday morning (Nov. 14).

The National Weather Service in Boise has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow in the Western Magic Valley. The advisory is in effect Thursday (Nov. 13) from 8 am to Friday (Nov. 14) at 5 am.

  • Snow Amounts: 2 inches in the valleys and up to 4 inches in higher elevations.
  • Snow levels: Your house.
  • Winds: East 20 to 30 mph in the Magic Valley.
  • Impacts: Snow will cover the roads creating a travel hazard. Winds will cause blowing and drifting snow and reduced visibility.

Precautionary/preparedness actions

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means that visibilities will be limited due to a combination of falling and blowing snow. Use caution when traveling, especially in open areas.
